Work collaboratively with the Sr. Vice President, Sales and sales team to achieve sales membership goals and objectives.<br>2. Serve as medical director for key accounts meeting with customers and national consultants, and demonstrating strong knowledge of HealthPartners programs and services including health improvement and disease management capabilities, pay for performance and other provider strategies.<br>3. Analyze key account experience (claims and benefits), translate and recommend strategies to improve work force health and productivity and reduce medical or dental trend.<br>4. Develop relationships with national consultants and keep abreast of marketplace developments.<br>5. Guide medical directors assigned to support sales and key accounts and provide leadership, training and development to the medical director team to understand client needs and develop solutions for customers.<br><br>Internal Collaboration:<br>1. Serve on the health plan medical director team providing guidance and insight on issues impacting the organization.<br>2. Translate and share learnings from client interactions with internal audiences to increase corporate sensitivity to market dynamics and external customer needs.<br>3. Build relationships with key Vice Presidents and departments to champion change, innovation and transformation for the health plan, particularly in support of key accounts.  These efforts should include collaboration to:<br>a. Develop products, programs and services responsive to purchasers and individuals;<br>b. Refine employer reporting capabilities;<br>c. Enhance health improvement, disease management, care management, or medical management programs to positively effect medical trend;<br>d. Enhance worksite health programs and services, including Well@Work clinics;<br>e. Support development of new delivery models to support our customers, members and patients.<br>4. Education:  MD degree<br>2. Experience:  at least two years experience in medical leadership for a health plan, TPA, or equivalent, which must include at least one year experience of direct account interaction or work with human resources or finance representatives of large employer clients.<br>3. Licensure:  valid, current license to practice medicine in the U.S. (any state)<br>4. Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills<br>5. Inform Pharmacist immediately of any interactions flagged by the computer system for Pharmacist intervention.  Updates patient records regarding medication allergies and disease states.<br><br>2. Accurately enter new prescriptions in accordance to applicable formulary, special approval or prior authorization, ensuring all necessary information is complete and in conjunction with coverage limitations and eligibility, as indicated by the computer system.<br><br>3. Receive member refill request by telephone, automated refill line, recorded message, or by patient at the pharmacy window.  Enter refill request into the computer system in order for the computer to generate prescription labels.  Route computer generated action request to provider if no refills are authorized.  Contact physician?s office if approval is required for refills outside of the HPMG&C system.<br><br>4. Adjudicates prescription claims for payment in accordance with Plan provisions, policies and procedures.<br><br>5. Researches and makes necessary changes to rejected claims, which could include the need to determine benefit coverage through interpretation of Plan provisions.<br><br>6. Receive action request or telephone refill approvals from physicians.  Enter information into the computer, including authorizing physician, number of refills authorized, or refusal of refill.<br><br>7. Attach documentation to allow physicians to meet Drug Utilization Reports initiatives or to notify them of the need of prior approval from pharmacy administration before filling prescription.<br><br>8. Identify and edit prescription entries due to changes or entry error.<br><br>9. Enter third-party information for the computer to process.  If prescription claim is rejected, problem-solve and make necessary changes.  If claim still does not process, call help line or refer claim to a Pharmacist.<br><br>10. Fill prescriptions and injectable orders for stations under the direction and/or verification of pharmacists.  Fill and label prescriptions in containers appropriately.  Provide warning labels and USPDI (United States Pharm Drug Info) leaflets as indicated by the computer.<br><br>11. Prepare compounded medications, including but not limited to topical products, suppositories, and allergy serums under the direction of the pharmacist.  Initiates and maintains patient profiles, prepares Chemo therapeutic agents, antibiotics and IV drugs under the direction of a Pharmacist.<br><br>12. Prepackage prescription drugs and maintain log under the direction /verification of a Pharmacist.<br><br>13. Package prescriptions to mail to patients and enclose bill as necessary.<br><br>14. Verify member/patient status on clinic computer systems.  Access EPIC to view patient?s co-pay, if necessary.<br><br>15. Enter appropriate transaction into the cash register, collect co-payment from member, make change if indicated, and transfer filled prescription to member.<br><br>16. Sell over-the-counter items.<br><br>17. Accept miscellaneous payments for rental/sales of medical supplies, if dispensed by the pharmacy.<br><br>18. Maintain sufficient stock levels of all medications including over the counter items, special order and controlled substances, as indicated by the computer system and/or shelf levels.  Maintains communication with vendors to problem solve delays, substitution and quantity discrepancies.<br><br>19. Maintain records of controlled substances in accordance to State Board of Pharmacy rules and regulations.<br><br>20. Do daily ordering of over-the-counter items and prescription drugs, as generated by the computer system, orders office supplies and assist in automated inventory.  Reconcile orders with invoices.  If applicable, authorizes payment for orders.<br><br>21. Stock shelves and assists with general housekeeping.<br><br>22. Return damaged and overstocked medications, complete credit paperwork, and prepare for return to appropriate vendor.<br><br>23. Run daily reports on prescriptions in pending action status and do follow-up.<br><br>24. Total cash register, count money, reconcile and balance daily ledger including reconciliation of checks and charges. Prepare paperwork for finance department and deposit for courier pickup.<br><br>25. Generate computer-generated profiles for patients at patient?s request as per confidentiality guidelines.<br><br>26. File prescriptions to be kept in pharmacy.<br><br>27. Box prescriptions and action requests to be shipped for storage.<br><br>28. Assist in training and retraining of Pharmacy Technical Assistants.<br><br>29. HPRF conducts public domain, peer-reviewed health services, clinical and basic science research in an academic setting that improves the health of HealthPartners members and the community. In addition the President serves as a member of the ICSI Board and works collaboratively with other members of the Board and the ICSI staff to set and maintain a clear purpose and direction for the organization.<br><br>Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:<br>1. Participates with the Board in the development of the annual operating plan and strategies that ICSI uses to achieve its mission and vision. This is accomplished by working collaboratively with the members of the ICSI Board to set these strategies and to revise them as frequently as is required to respond to changes in the mission, vision, and the circumstances in which ICSI operates.<br>2. Demonstrates leadership that is consistent with ICSI?s values of collaboration, trust, leadership and innovation, passion, objectivity, and patient-centeredness.<br>3. Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective interpersonal relationships with all levels of management, governing boards, physicians, health plans, medical groups, hospitals, employees, business, government and community officials and the general public.<br>5.
