		<title>Sales Technician - Broker Services (Bloomington, MN, US)</title>

This person will assist the sales team to develop and maintain superlative broker relationships that allow HealthPartners to grow.<br><br>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<br>? Four-year college degree<br>? Work experience in the healthcare/insurance industry.<br>? Understanding of the role of brokers in the distribution and service of health and dental products.<br>? Proficiency with personal computers, including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Customer Relationship Managements Systems, and database/workflow management programs.<br>? Ability to manage multiple project assignments.<br>? Excellent written and oral communication skills.<br>? Ability to aggressively prospect and close new business.<br>? Must be able to work collaboratively with internal departments to achieve organizational goals.<br>? Ability to develop and maintain excellent working relationships, with internal and external clients.<br>? Obtain Minnesota life and health insurance license within three months of hire.<br>? Execution of a non-competition agreement upon hire.<br><br>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<br>? Prior experience in a sales environment.<br>? Minnesota life and health insurance license.<br>? College course work in business, finance, or health-related studies.<br>? Strong knowledge of HealthPartners? and affiliate company operations.<br>? Previous experience working with the brokerage community.<br>? Working knowledge of CQI and Covey principles.<br>? Health Insurance Association of American (HIAA), Managed Healthcare Professional (MHP), Certified Employee Benefits Specialists (CEBS) or other industry related coursework or completed designations.<br>? Miller Heiman/Strategic Selling training and practical application.<br><br>ACCOUNTABILITIES:<br>? Coordinating the small and large group new sales process for medical and dental prospects.<br>? Accountability for maintaining the integrity of the data input into all account management systems for new accounts.<br>? Work in conjunction/back up Sales Executive in every aspect of broker and client relationships.<br>? Jointly accountable with the Sales Executive in meeting our annual medical and dental sales, retention and net growth goals.<br>? Coordinate handling of critical account issues.<br>? Develop, maintain and improve broker/employer client relationships.<br>? Manage and make decisions regarding day-to-day customer service needs for assigned brokers and clients. Areas of involvement will include:<br>? Underwriting<br>? Application of Small Employer Reform Law<br>? Member services, claims, and Membership Accounting (billing and enrollment) and Product management<br>? Coordinating the sales process for medical and dental group prospects.  This includes:<br>? Manage small and large group underwriting process from start to finish<br>? Complete command of underwriting requirements (specifically must understand how businesses are structured and what tax documentation is needed to verify group eligibility)<br>? Completing Group Data Form on new sales<br>? Maintain account management systems.<br>? Coordinate internal and external communication pieces.<br>? Provide back-up support for other team members.<br>? Conduct employer and broker presentations on occasion, such as broker training sessions, enrollment meetings, etc.<br>? Project work as assigned.<br>? Periodic after hours entertainment engagements with customers and/or brokers.<br>?
