Position Description
Position: HPMG-Amery Hospitalist
Date: 8/21/2008
Department: Amery Medical Staff
Reports to: CMO
This position description is designed to outline the primary duties, qualifications and job scope, but not limit the incumbent nor the Company to just the work identified. It is our expectation that each employee will offer his/her services wherever and whenever necessary to ensure the success of our endeavors.
Summary:
To establish, implement, provide and maintain the highest standards of professional hospital medical care for the patients at Amery Regional Medical Center. To provide consistent medical care in the hospital and identify and implement quality cost-effective hospital medicine services that meet the needs of the Amery area residents.
Participate in Holiday rotation with clinic physician partners
Essential Functions:
1. Complete H & P on all admissions not completed by the patients primary care provider (previous night, daytime, all APP patients, geriatric psych)
2. Rounding and discharge on all inpatients not completed by the patient’s primary care physician
3. Take all calls/questions from inpatient areas and triage
4. Hospital consults when requested by primary care provider or surgeon
5. Hospital service care/operations improvement
Qualifications:
• MD/DO focused on pursuing Hospital Medicine practice
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
• Licensed to practice medicine in Wisconsin
• Board Certified/ eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
• Current DEA registration
Compensation:
• Base salary plus production bonus opportunity
