Work collaboratively with the Sr. Vice President, Sales and sales team to achieve sales membership goals and objectives.<br>2. Serve as medical director for key accounts meeting with customers and national consultants, and demonstrating strong knowledge of HealthPartners programs and services including health improvement and disease management capabilities, pay for performance and other provider strategies.<br>3. Analyze key account experience (claims and benefits), translate and recommend strategies to improve work force health and productivity and reduce medical or dental trend.<br>4. Develop relationships with national consultants and keep abreast of marketplace developments.<br>5. Guide medical directors assigned to support sales and key accounts and provide leadership, training and development to the medical director team to understand client needs and develop solutions for customers.<br><br>Internal Collaboration:<br>1. Serve on the health plan medical director team providing guidance and insight on issues impacting the organization.<br>2. Translate and share learnings from client interactions with internal audiences to increase corporate sensitivity to market dynamics and external customer needs.<br>3. Build relationships with key Vice Presidents and departments to champion change, innovation and transformation for the health plan, particularly in support of key accounts.  These efforts should include collaboration to:<br>a. Develop products, programs and services responsive to purchasers and individuals;<br>b. Refine employer reporting capabilities;<br>c. Enhance health improvement, disease management, care management, or medical management programs to positively effect medical trend;<br>d. Enhance worksite health programs and services, including Well@Work clinics;<br>e. Support development of new delivery models to support our customers, members and patients.<br>4. Chair Benefits Steering Committee<br>5. Other duties as assigned.<br><br>External Collaboration:<br>1. Represent HealthPartners in external forums, locally and nationally, to build visibility, develop relationships and generate sales.<br>2. Serve as medical spokesperson for HealthPartners health plan regarding health implementation, disease management, worksite health, sales, marketing and product strategies.<br><br>REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:<br>1. Education:  MD degree<br>2. Experience:  at least two years experience in medical leadership for a health plan, TPA, or equivalent, which must include at least one year experience of direct account interaction or work with human resources or finance representatives of large employer clients.<br>3. Licensure:  valid, current license to practice medicine in the U.S. (any state)<br>4. Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills<br>5. Working knowledge of computer productivity software including Microsoft Office Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook<br>6. Strong quantitative skills<br>7. Strong teamwork, customer service orientation<br>8. Able to travel a moderate amount both in and out-of-state.<br><br>PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:<br>1. Document receipt of all merchandise and acknowledge receipt by signature.<br>? Report all damage and discrepancies.<br>? Maintain and prepare accurate receiving logs and related records.<br>? Check all merchandise against packing list and purchase orders; identify any discrepancies and identify shelf location for all items; prepare items for distribution to warehouse inventory locations and place items into proper storage locations.<br>? Complete receiving documents for processing by supervisor and/or computer operator/accounts payable.<br>? Prepare shipping documents and materials to be shipped to clinics and other locations.<br>? Process returns from clinics and prepare items for credit returns to vendors.<br>? Prepare items for shipment via UPS or common carrier.<br>? Fill supply requisition orders and record transactions.<br>? Load issued items into containers, carts and vehicles and stage items for delivery.<br>? Drive truck/vans assigned to Materials Management Department from its warehouse to HealthPartners/GHI clinical facilities and other locations, and accomplish duties within scheduled times consistent with Minnesota State Laws.<br>? Load, unload, sort and deliver mail, laboratory specimens, patient charts, x-rays, supplies and other materials. Familiar with OSHA procedures governing bio-hazardous material spillage.<br>? Maintain security of vehicle and contents during load, unload and delivery functions.<br>? Maintain record of work, record vehicle mileage, gasoline use and perform basic inspection, cleaning and washing of vehicle.<br>? Maintain work area cleanliness, organize work area inventories; operate, maintain and clean materials handling equipment including power loading units such as forklifts.<br>? Participate in periodic physical inventory counts by using basic mathematics concepts of addition, subtraction, multiplication and division.<br>? Responsible for reporting any accidents, driving hazards to management upon return to warehouse.<br>? Promptly respond to traffic and driving hazards.<br>? Sort reroute envelopes, diagnostic specimens, charts and x-rays for delivery to clinics.<br>? Drive vehicles to service station for repair and maintenance.<br>? Perform other duties related to order delivery, transportation and materials handing as required and assigned.<br><br>This position requires a high school diploma or GED along with a current and valid Minnesota driver?s license with a good driving record as verified by a Department of Motor Vehicles report.  No moving violations for the past three (3) years.  This position requires the ability to drive light or medium duty vans/trucks with manual or automatic transmissions and familiarity with the Twin Cities metropolitan road system. ICSI is funded by 60 medical group and hospital members, which represent 9,000 physicians, as well as six Minnesota and Wisconsin health plans.  ICSI is also a founding member of the Network for Regional Healthcare Improvement (NRHI), a national group of health care collaboratives.<br><br>As an independent, non-profit organization, ICSI initially developed evidence-based health care guidelines to help its members implement best clinical practices for their patients. This work continues, and ICSI?s guidelines are used extensively nationally and internationally. Beyond its guideline work, ICSI helps its members improve their processes and the quality of care they deliver, and leads them in organizational cultural change so they can succeed in today?s rapidly evolving health care world.<br><br>In the past four years, ICSI has been at the forefront of health care transformation regionally and nationally. Its trusted collaborative processes have demonstrated ICSI?s ability to bring diverse stakeholders together to champion system-based improvements in health care so patients receive higher quality and more affordable health care.<br><br>Position Responsibilities<br><br>The President is responsible for directing all activities for ICSI within the framework of its mission, vision, and values, which are set by the Board of Directors and incorporated in ICSI?s strategic and operating plans.  In addition the President serves as a member of the ICSI Board and works collaboratively with other members of the Board and the ICSI staff to set and maintain a clear purpose and direction for the organization.<br><br>Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:<br>1. Participates with the Board in the development of the annual operating plan and strategies that ICSI uses to achieve its mission and vision. This is accomplished by working collaboratively with the members of the ICSI Board to set these strategies and to revise them as frequently as is required to respond to changes in the mission, vision, and the circumstances in which ICSI operates.<br>2. Demonstrates leadership that is consistent with ICSI?s values of collaboration, trust, leadership and innovation, passion, objectivity, and patient-centeredness.<br>3. Seeks common ground between ICSI?s health plan sponsors and care delivery organization members and identifies opportunities for them to collaborate to:<br>a. Improve the health of the population,<br>b. Enhance the patient experience of care (including quality, access, and reliability), and<br>c. An advanced degree in a health care field.<br>2. Ten years of senior management experience in the health care delivery of clinical services, health services management or related areas.<br>3. Demonstrated ability to facilitate and manage change.<br>4. Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining effective interpersonal relationships with all levels of management, governing boards, physicians, health plans, medical groups, hospitals, employees, business, government and community officials and the general public.<br>5. Demonstrated understanding of the business and regulatory issues that affect health plans.<br>6. Demonstrated understanding of the business and regulatory issues that affect medical groups and hospitals.<br>7. Demonstrated strategic and financial planning skills.<br>8. Demonstrated skills in problem solving, negotiations and issue identification.<br>9. Ability to develop and administer organizational philosophy and objectives.<br>10. Leadership experience in inter-organizational program settings and demonstrated ability to build consensus on strategic directions and organizational goals.<br>11. Knowledge of methods of quality improvement, including continuous quality improvement and similar process improvement methods, leadership methods, measurement for improvement, methods for achieving consensus within organizations on evidence-based guidelines and management methods, organizational culture improvement, change management, and methods for engaging patients and achieving self-management by patients.<br>12. Ability to recruit, motivate, and retain staff as needed to achieve ICSI's purpose.<br><br>Preferred:<br>1. Strongly preferred MD or DO degree.<br>2. Multiple advanced level degrees in health care or other pertinent fields (e.g., MHA, MPH, MBA).<br>3. Experience in consulting for organizational development.<br>4. Knowledge of research methods used in health care, including knowledge of clinical epidemiology and statistical methods used in research.<br>5. Demonstrated understanding of the uses of information technology for delivering clinical services and improving them.<br>6. Experience in advising or working with governmental agencies and legislators.<br>7. Experience in designing and providing programs for training and professional development.<br>8. Experience in conducting program evaluation.<br>9.
