Work collaboratively with the Sr. Vice President, Sales and sales team to achieve sales membership goals and objectives.<br>2. Serve as medical director for key accounts meeting with customers and national consultants, and demonstrating strong knowledge of HealthPartners programs and services including health improvement and disease management capabilities, pay for performance and other provider strategies.<br>3. Analyze key account experience (claims and benefits), translate and recommend strategies to improve work force health and productivity and reduce medical or dental trend.<br>4. Develop relationships with national consultants and keep abreast of marketplace developments.<br>5. Guide medical directors assigned to support sales and key accounts and provide leadership, training and development to the medical director team to understand client needs and develop solutions for customers.<br><br>Internal Collaboration:<br>1. Serve on the health plan medical director team providing guidance and insight on issues impacting the organization.<br>2. Translate and share learnings from client interactions with internal audiences to increase corporate sensitivity to market dynamics and external customer needs.<br>3. Build relationships with key Vice Presidents and departments to champion change, innovation and transformation for the health plan, particularly in support of key accounts.  These efforts should include collaboration to:<br>a. Develop products, programs and services responsive to purchasers and individuals;<br>b. Refine employer reporting capabilities;<br>c. Enhance health improvement, disease management, care management, or medical management programs to positively effect medical trend;<br>d. Education:  MD degree<br>2. Licensure:  valid, current license to practice medicine in the U.S. (any state)<br>4. Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills<br>5. Manage the year end settlement process for assigned providers, when applicable. Communicate settlement results to provider and provide timely follow-up.  Process check requests and/or checks received from provider.<br><br>? Provide pro-active and on-going communication and education to designated providers? staff regarding HPI products, policies, procedures, and systems.  This is done through regularly scheduled meetings, ad hoc meetings, phone calls, seminars, and educational inservices arranged and/or presented by the Contracting Staff.  Providers? staff is defined as business office personnel, receptionists, training staff, referral management staff, physicians, other medical staff, clinic managers, and administrators.<br><br>? Collaborate and problem solve with internal HPI departments (Claims, Medical Services, Member Services, Membership Accounting, Accounts Payable, Clinic Operations, Support Services, Quality Utilization Management, Referral Secretaries, Government Service, Pharmacy Care Network, Other Contracting Departments and Sales and Marketing) to improve administrative efficiencies that will allow the providers to successfully deliver care to HPI members, to improve contracting opportunities for cost savings and/or to improve administrative interfaces.<br><br>? Prepare in written form and distribute to ?Provider Alert? recipients individual clinic variation information, changes, and update information to HPI staff so that internal operations reflect the most current provider status.  This includes, but is not limited to, physician data, provider operations data, product participation, provider access and claims submission and processing nuances.<br><br>? Serve as the department expert for his/her providers in the areas of provider billing, coding, market reimbursement and utilization review.<br><br>? Assist in the development of additional provider management reports identified through the participation of the Medical Group Teams, if applicable, and/or other HPI and/or provider meetings.  When applicable, the Contract Consultant is a member of a Medical Group Team and includes a Medical Director, Quality Assurance representative and Medical Management representatives.  The Contract Consultant is responsible for presenting and interpreting to key provider participants the management and financial reports developed for improving provider?s delivery of managed care services for HPI Products.<br><br>? Coordinate and implement new provider relationships for designated HPI products.  This includes completion of a work plan, coordinate key HPI department connection with medical groups, and establish medical group team relationship.<br><br>? This is one of three technical consultants who are responsible for multiple sites, some including urgent care.
